I can't believe I haven't blogged about this yet.... crazy! This news is exactly 1 week old today.... but still very, very exciting! I got the most FANTASTIC birthday present last week, 1 day before my actual birthday: a full-time contract to teach Grade 7-12 band (or for my New Zealand friends reading this, Year 8-13 or Form 2-7), senior choir, jazz choir, and likely junior choir, jazz band, and handbells. On the non-music side of things, I will be teaching 0.3 in other subject areas, still TBA. I am thrilled about this position, and I can hardly wait to start in August! The school is Rivier Academy, which is in my hometown (bonus!). SO EXCITING!!!
