I told my students that I would wake up this morning with grey hair and wrinkles.....

....... but they didn't believe me when I told them that I was turning 80. And, save for one rather clueless student (and I say that with love, of course), they also didn't believe me when I told them that I was turning 42. Their guesses were very close. 22, 25, 23, 27, etc.

But, ladies and gentlemen, I am 24. Officially. As of 12:05pm today.

Another year gone, and many more lessons learned and things discovered. The biggest things that I have discovered this year are that it is never wrong to love, and that at this point in my life I feel that I have truly found myself in the profession that brings me the most joy imaginable. Pretty good year, I'd say.
