Hello from the beautiful Sunshine Coast!

Emma and I are camping in Noosa, on the Sunshine Coast. BEAUTIFUL. The weather is fantastic, and the company is so so entertaining. Emma and I have been having lots of fun catching up - can you believe it's been over 7 years since RYLA? Crazy. I was 15 when we met. Anyway, it certainly doesn't feel like any time has passed, and we're having tons of fun and getting lots of sun (a nice change from the rain that has been hanging around in Brisbane over the past few days)!!!!

On the Reid front, he has opened his left eye a bit now!!! That's SO exciting. Also his friend told him to "flip Brody the bird" and apparently he "tried with all of his might to lift that middle finger up." Haha. So, all good news there.

I'd better run. Emma is out at a little shop, killing time while I check up on Reid's Facebook group and my blog, etc. We're going to an African music concert tonight, so that should be a good time... I'm really enjoying these "summer holidays" before I come home to winter.... in only 8 days and counting! Only 4 days until I leave for Vancouver! Time flies.

Glad you are getting to see Australia in the sun...especially on the Sunshine coast! Enjoy your concert.

I am so happy to hear Reid has opened one eye - he is getting there!

Dad and I enjoyed your extremly brief, whirl-wind phone call from the payphone last night in Noosa. We laughed as Emma had to keep plugging it full of money so you could say hello and tell us that you were having fun. How much did that brief (but wonderful) encounter end up costing you in change?

Hi Lauren - Hope your last few days in Australia are sunny and hot. I guarantee it isn't here, but at least you'll have had some summer to get you through. Great hearing from you last night, and looking forward to seeing you on Sunday - is curry chicken vermicelli on the menu for Sunday PM ?? Love you, and see you soon. I'll see if we can get seats together from Vancouver to Saskatoon since I'm returning from Kamloops that same day.

Enough of the Sunshine Coast already! I check your blog every time I pass by the computer room - ha ha. Can't wait for you to have better internet access. Looking forward to beautiful beach photos. Dad got you and him seats together on the Calgary-Saskatoon flight but there weren't two together on the Vancouver-Calgary portion, but you might be able to convince someone to move. Saskatoon Asian Restaurant Sunday night?
