The day at Milford Sound was nice, but the weather was horrendous. Fish stayed back in bed at the hostel, recovering from the previous night's festivities, while a group of us forged on in the rain, wind, and snow. I stupidly wore jandals (flip flops) and goucho pants, and froze my feet and legs off for the entire journey through the fiord. But, despite the absolute crap weather, Tiffany and I had a very silly and entertaining photo shoot on the front of the ferry in which we counted up to 3 and then jumped, attempting to catch a frame in mid-air. The results were hilarious.... I even hit the deck twice, making myself even colder and wetter, and giving my abs a good workout from all the laughing in the meantime. Pics to come soon. Here's a sneak preview if you're curious. :o)
(I LOVE NZ!!!)

A sunny, glorious day like in the tourist brochures would have been nice...but looks like you made the best of it. And, you are on holidays in New Zealand, so how can it be anything but good anyways? (you DO look like Brent in that photo)
You are an absolute goofbal. A nutty, beautiful, brave goofball!!I tried to post something last night after watching yuor video, but alas, technical dificulties arose. Anywa, I needed to get up early this a.m. and see what adventures Lauren was to partake in today. I love the pic of you posing on the deck. Funny girl!!By the way, Lowell is completely impressed with you!! He thinks you are also a brave, beautiful, nutty goofball too!
love from us, weiner and bun boy
You are far more adventuresome than your Auntie Diane! My idea of a holiday is going to a nice hotel and lounging around the pool.
Uncle Ron and I are simply amazed at how you were brave enough to do the canyon swing. After your Mom and I went on a roller coaster as kids I was pretty much done with rides. If I am really brave I will go on the Tilt A Whirl. But, good for you for following your dreams and experiencing New Zealand as you are.
Love you L.B.B.!
Just re-reading your blog. Somehow as I look back, I think the day you took off down the ski hill at Lake Louise without dad when you were 3 and the time you skied down the liftline run at age 4 before I could point you in the direction of the green run was foreshadowing the adventures you had in New Zealand. You've always loved a challenge, the outdoors and a bit of speed. (outdoor school, speedskating, ski racing) It is all coming together.
